Having survived blood cancer and a stem cell transplant, Amy Green is a textile artist whose work explores the relationship between the disruptive, uncontrollable, and mutational forces which exist inside all of us, and how these become embodied in the presence of disease.

By exploring form and texture through stitch; this repetitive process organically starts to take on sculptural properties . Each series of work presents itself as a form of abject chaos and seeks to challenge our perceptions of what makes us human.
